Theatre Royal Onward - Hyde

Theatre Royal Onward have begun a national book competition which they hope will become an annual affair. Should the theatre ambitions fail proceeds will benefit other charities.

The first anthology of stories and poems from the 2009/10 competition is now available for £4.99p of which £3 will go to the charity's funds. They are currently raising funds to pay for the Options Appraisal Survey, which has taken a long time to process but is now being finalised. This is a requirement of the Architectural Heritage Fund, before they consider grants or loans.

The anthology contains a wonderful, enjoyable selection of short stories and poems from entries around the country and even from Australia. One which is not included came from Barcelona and a very special one came from Making-a-Difference, Tameside.
