Heritage Open Days 2010

The 2010 Heritage Open Days cycle is about to start and we would like you to be part of it. Despite the change of organisation last year, 2009 was more successful than ever, with over a million visitors estimated to have taken advantage of the 4,100 events on offer. Thank you to all of you who helped make it happen, and here's to making this year’s event, which runs from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 September, even more enjoyable!

Existing Organisers - Organiser Forums

For the first time this year, we will be running a series of regional organiser forums in March. As well as being an opportunity to meet other local organisers, we want to hear your views on how HODs can be improved, and give you a chance to discuss specific issues and share your experiences. For more information and to book a place, please click here, or download our organisers' forums leaflet at

The English Heritage Outreach team is planning to run some training sessions in selected locations. These provide the opportunity to meet fellow organisers and learn more about participating in the scheme. If you are interested in attending, please contact us to find out if there is one in your area.
