Membership

Here is your opportunity to join Tameside's thriving Local History Forum and to take part in the various events organised throughout the year. More than 30 groups meet locally and act as a focal point for all the elements of local history in the borough.

Any local history or heritage group can join the forum for an annual subscription of twenty pounds sterling, renewable each January at our Annual General Meeting. Individuals can also join for a reduced fee of £5.

Groups or individuals are then included in our distribution list for copies of our anuual publication of "History Alive Tameside".

You will also be allowed free webspace to advertise your group's activites, no technical skills required.

HODS 2005 saw 1801 vistors, but 2006 was judged a major success with 4149 adults and 915 children visiting 25 separate venues, involving 274 volunteers on the day.
