Second Theatre Royal Onward Writing Competition

The second Onward Writing Competition to raise funds for restoration of the Theatre Royal Hyde will commence on the 30th September 2010 and finish on 28th February 2011.

A new website has been set up www.onwardwriting.co.ok with full details and entry forms. Otherwise write to Mrs Muriel Nichols, 412, Mottram Rd, Hyde SK14 3BP. There is no special theme. Stories must not exceed 1200 words and poems 40 lines. Prizes are £50. £30 and £20 respectively.

Entry is £3, two entries for £5. The best adjudged work will be published in the Onward anthology. The current anthology can be bought at Hyde Library for £4.99p ordered via the website or by contacting Muriel at the above address.

News of the theatre is that the latest survey should soon be available to view and it is hoped access will be gained to the stalls only of the theatre, from 10.00am until 3.00pm on the 10th and 11th September. Ring 0161 368 4938 or 0161 430 8621 for more details. News to follow.
